ProcedureEdit

  1. Go to any office of the Civil Registry.
  2. Apply for a duplicate license plate.
  3. Present and submit the required documents.

Required DocumentsEdit

For request

  • valid Identity Card (in good condition)
  • Vehicle Proficiency Certificate (Padron)
  • Circulation Permit force
  • For disablement or impairment reasons of the request, the applicant must submit the plates or in disrepair.
  • If the reason is the loss or loss, damage or theft of one or both plates, the individual must submit a copy (legal) of the part of the complaint lodged with the Carabineros. This document is delivered the day after the record made in the same police station where the report was made.
  • If the reason is mode change or replacement of the vehicle, at the time of the request, the case for change taxi owners, must return the license plates on the contrary, if the change is direct by taxi, either of its forms, it is necessary to return the license plates and should only do so when stating the authorization of the Ministry of Transport and the plates are made new.

For delivery (removing of duplicate plates or patent)

  • Valid Identity Card

  • If the removal of the plates is done by a third party, and the vehicle owner is a natural person, in addition to the above documents should submit a Power of Attorney for such specific purposes, in case the owner is a corporation, the withdrawal of plates must be made by the legal representative and shall deliver a certified copy of the deed stating the same.
  • Provisional Patent Plate and Authorization to travel (at the time of removal of plate/s or patent/s)
  • a Notarized Affidavit of the owner and the copy (craft) of the part of the complaint lodged with the Carabineros (in case of loss or theft provisional patent plate
