Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To Renew Vehicle Permit in Chhattisgarh the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which his area belongs to.

4. Make sure you have completed application form to Renew Vehicle Permit. Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that can be completed and presented with appropriate fees
   
5. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
   
6. Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
   
7. After checking the vehicle for its correctness and other appropriate requirements the application will be processed. Important verifications for the permit includes Vehicle condition etc., will be carried by authorities.

Apply Online

1. Use the following link : Online and select “Online permit” option under permit menu.
   
2. In the next screen select other online service option and click “permit online” option.
   
3. Select Chhattisgarh in the drop down menu and click “proceed”
   
4. Please follow the screen and fill in prompted details to process your online procedure
   
5. Upload required documents and take printout of acknowledgement.
   
6. On the appointment date, go to RTO office before 11:30 am and submit the documents to officer at the office. He will mark the amount need to be paid at the respective counter
   
7. Pay the fees and submit the document at the counter.
   
8. Authorities will process your application further.
   
   

Apply through Centres:

1. To Renew a Vehicle Permit, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
2. Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the process.
3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
5. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
6. On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.

• Original Permit.
• Registration Certificate
• Valid Fitness Certificate.
• Valid Insurance Certificate.
• No-objection Certificate from the financier if the vehicle is covered by hire purchase Agreement/Hypothecation/Lease.
  
• Payment of green tax wherever applicable.
  
• Pollution under control certificate
  
• Proof of payment of tax for the current quarter.

• Vehicle Permits are issued to operate the vehicle for respective use.
• This permit needs to be renewed before it lapses.
