  1. To Obtain Contract Labour Licence for Contractor, the applicant has to use the following link
  2. In the given page please select “Labour Commissioner Service” menu option.
  3. Applicant will reach select service page.
  4. Applicant has to click select service and select “Under Contract Labor Act 1970”.
  5. In user type applicant has to select “Contractor” option.
  6. Then applicant has to select the “What do you want do?”
  7. After completing all the details applicant has to click “Proceed” button.
  8. Applicant has to complete the online form requirements with mandatory details. Upload required documents and treasury receipt details as applicable. Finally click “Save” button.
  9. Please follow the onscreen information and use the appropriate option to submit the application online.
  10. A system generated acknowledgement will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
  11. An SMS alert will be sent to the applicant regarding application submission.
  12. Application will be forwarded online to the concerned department.
  13. After scrutiny by the designated authority, short fall in the documentation if any will be intimated through SMS along with the date of inspection.
  14. Department authorities will verify the documents, Inspect the premises and clarify their queries.
  15. The Application along with report will be forwarded to the issuing authority concerned.
  16. If the applications are found to be correct, applicant will get notification about the sanction through SMS in their registered mobile number.
  17. This certificate shall be hand delivered or sent through post as per applicable norms.

Note:

  1. Make sure to keep the “First-Aid Facilities” in the premises during inspection.
  2. It is advised to submit additional set of copy of the documents and get counter signed for your safety while applying with government department.



Apply through the mobile app:

  1. The applicant willing to Obtain Contract Labour Licence for Contractor, must download the Shramev Jayate mobile App.

  3. Once downloaded, the applicant must click the button “labour registration/survey” on the main page.
  4. Applicant has to follow the app to complete the process.
  5. Under the required documents section upload all the relevant documents and click on “Save & Next”.
  6. Next, pay the fees and submit the application.
  7. After Successful Completing the payment, a receipt will be generated with a digit reference number make a print of it, and keep it safe for future reference.
  8. You can track the application through the home page.
  9. This application will be processed by them and they will notify you through your e-mail or by SMS.



Apply In-Person:

  1. Applicant shall apply with their respective labour office of the registering officer of the area in which the establishment sought to be registered is located.
  2. Applicant must satisfy the criteria as listed in the eligibility section below.
  3. Go to the respective office.

  5. Consult with the designated authority. Obtain the application form or write on an A4 sheet as advised. Applicant shall get the information from the respective department website too.
  6. Once the check list of information is ready, prepare all the requirements as guided. Complete the application form. Attach the required documents. Please refer our required document section.
  7. Submit or post the completed application form along with required documents and prescribed fees as applicable to the designated authority.
  8. Submitted application will be verified by the authorities. If all are in place, applicant will be provided with acknowledgement for the submitted application.
  9. This application will be processed internally.
  10. Applicant gets notification about the process through their registered mobile number.
  11. Department authorities will verify the documents, Inspect the premises and clarify their queries.
  12. If the application is found to be correct in all respect, then a Contract Labour License is issued to the applicant.
  13. This certificate shall be hand delivered or sent through post as per applicable norms.



Apply through Centres:

  1. To Obtain Contract Labour Licence for Contractor, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
  2. Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the process.
  3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
  4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
  5. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
  6. On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.

  • If the entrepreneur/applicant engages 20 or applicable number or more contractual workers in the contractual work are eligible.
  • An Individual or a firm shall apply
  • Applicant should be a major
  • Applicant should not be convicted (at any time during a period of five years immediately preceding the date of application)


FeesEdit

Security deposit as advised by authorities for each workman to be employed as contract labour shall be deposited.

ValidityEdit

Every licence granted is valid for twelve months from the date it is granted.

InstructionsEdit

  • The licence is non-transferable.
  • The number of workmen employed as contract labour in the establishment shall not on any day, exceed the mentioned numbers as per application.
  • The fees paid for the grant of the licence shall be non-refundable.
  • The rates of wages payable to the workmen by the contractor shall not be less than the rates prescribed for the schedule of employment under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, where applicable, and where the rates have been fixed by agreement/ settlement or award, not less than the rates fixed.
