Step 1: Procedure for Fee Payment
- To Apply for Export License, first the applicant has to make a payment via online using the following link
- The applicant is required to access the official website of DGFT and select the “Online ECOM application’ from the service tab.
- After accessing the ECOM application page, click on the “e-MPS” option (Miscellaneous Payment System) to make payment for the export certificate.
- After the applicant has to provide PAN of the Firm/Individual, Name of the Firm/Individual, click on the submit button.
- After validating the detail e-MP System will display the main screen. click on the “Make a New Payment” option from the left tab to proceed further.
- Please fill in the details and provide a mobile number. After giving the number, the applicant shall receive an OTP from the website. Verify the OTP received on the mobile number and click on the Pay Now button to make the payment.
- Note: Please ensure the mobile number mentioned is not under the DNC Registry.
- Once the details are provided, click on the “Pay Now” Button. The System will display the details of the payment made, as shown below in the payment initiation screen.
- Press the submit button to proceed further, and a payment detail confirmation screen will appear. Once the PROCEED button is pressed, the user will be directed to the payment gateway for making the payment.
- Choose the required payment interface (Credit Card, Net Banking, or Debit Card) facility to make the payment.
- The System will reflect the transaction’s status at the DGFT portal in the successful payment of the fee. Click on the Print Receipt option. Select the ECOM Reference Number to print the payment receipt using the radio button.
- Now the applicant can take the print of the payment receipt and forward it to the concerned DGFT RA along with the application.
Step 2: Apply by Email
- After making payment the applicant has to download the application form from the following link1 or link2
- Or the applicant can either fill the application online by using the following link. Go to the Online ECOM Application section under services. Select ‘Restricted Item Import License or Restricted Export Item’.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
- Email all the documents with the completed form to the concerned RA officer by using the following email [email protected]
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the particular circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
- The authority may seek additional information from an applicant if this is necessary to assess the application. The authority does not need to deal further with an application until the applicant has provided this additional information.
- Once everything is accepted the authority will email the certificate.
- This entire process can be completed within 15 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
