1.Start by carrying out a market research:
- The exporter must first decide on where he / she will be exporting his / her goods / services;
- There after visit the country he / she wishes to sell his / her goods / services
- Gather information about the market, the goods / services to be offered for sale in that market, and the past, present and potential customers for the product or service;
- Then analyze the gathered information and interpret it.
- Also carry out research about characteristics, spending habits and needs of the target market.
2.When research has been carried out and the exporter fills he / she can continue with exportation into that particular country, he / she must then go to the customs department in Chad to find out the requirements for exporting his specified goods / services from Chad to the market country;
3.There after prepare all required documents; and the exporter declares the goods / services to be exported to the customs department for customs clearance and technical control.
- In this case the exporter shall be advised on the customs requirements and restrictions and will make payments where required;
4.After clearing at the customs department the exporter shall then proceed for port and terminal handling. At this point the exporter declares goods to be exported for clearing at the port of exit, inspections and payments are made if necessary;
5.The good are then transported from ware house (in Chad) to the exit port and from the exit port to the country of import;

FeesEdit
- Exporters pay approximately US$6,615. This fee is broken down below:
- Documents preparation US$880
- Customs clearance and technical control US$330
- Ports and terminal handling US$405
- Inland transportation and handling US$5,000

An exporter who meets the requirements can export at any time.

Need for the DocumentEdit
Exporting good involves selling goods to market outside boundaries of a given country. In Chad, the Government through its customs department controls exportation of goods from Chad.

1.An exporter may export 1000 cigarettes or 250 cigars or 1 kg of tobacco freely
2.It is important to note that the Chadian legislation on exportation of goods is based on CEMAC (a union of West African Countries) Customs Code.
