Procedure

Connect Mobile Online:

1. To connect a PayPal account to your "Mobile Number" in Chad, the applicant has to visit Chad’s PayPal website page to make the connection. The PayPal account can be accessed through the following PayPal Account Link.
2. Upon entering the Chad’s PayPal homepage, click on the “Log In” Option to access the PayPal platform. This will direct the applicant to the next page where they can start their connection process.
3. On the next page the applicant should enter their email address, and click on the “Log In” button to proceed with the application.
4. Upon entering PayPal’s homepage, the applicant should click on the setting “Gear Icon” button on the top right pane to proceed to the next page.
5. On the next the page the applicant should click on the “Accounts” button to access the account’s profile page.
6. The applicant should then proceed to click on the “Add” link in the “Phone Numbers” Tab to add their phone number.
7. On the next the page the applicant should then proceed to enter their Phone Number and select the “Mobile” option under the category option and click on the “Add Phone Number” button.

   • Upon clicking the “Add phone number” button, PayPal will send a verification SMS to the applicants mobile phone number.

8. The applicant should then proceed to check their mobile phone for the verification SMS from PayPal for connection.
9. Upon confirming the verification SMS received, applicant should then return to PayPal and enter the verification code as they appear on the SMS for verification and click on the “Submit” button to complete the verification and connection process.
10. The processing time is immediate and the Mobile account is connected to PayPal immediately.

Connect Secondary Mobile Online:

1. The applicant can add a Secondary Mobile Account through the following process.
2. The applicant should log into their PayPal account by visiting PayPal homepage and clicking on the “Log In” button to proceed with the application.
3. Upon entering PayPal’s homepage, the applicant should click on the setting “Gear Icon” button on the top right pane to proceed to the next page.
4. On the next the page the applicant should click on the “Accounts” button to access the account’s profile page.
5. The applicant should then proceed to click on the “Add” link in the “Phone Numbers” Tab to add their secondary phone number.
6. On the next the page the applicant should then proceed to enter their Secondary Phone Number and select the “Mobile” option under the category option and click on the “Add Phone Number” button.

   • Upon clicking the “Add phone number” button, PayPal will send a verification SMS to the applicants mobile phone number.

7. The applicant should then proceed to check their mobile phone for the verification SMS from PayPal for connection.
8. Upon confirming the verification SMS received, applicant should then return to PayPal and enter the verification code as they appear on the SMS for verification and click on the “Submit” button to complete the verification and connection process.
9. The processing time is immediate and the Mobile account is connected to PayPal immediately.

Connect Bank Account or Credit Card Online:

1. To connect a PayPal account to your "Bank Account" in Chad, the applicant has to visit Chad’s PayPal website page to make the connection. The PayPal account can be accessed through the following PayPal Account Link.
2. Upon entering the Chad’s PayPal homepage, click on the “Log In” Option to access the PayPal platform. This will direct the applicant to the next page where they can start their connection process.
3. On the next page the applicant should enter their email address, and click on the “Log In” button to proceed with the application.
4. Upon entering PayPal’s homepage, the applicant should click on the “Wallet” button on the top pane and then click on the “Link a Card or Bank” button.
5. On the next the applicant should click on either:
   • Link Credit Card option to connect their (Credit card or Debit card) ; or
   • Link Bank account option to connect their bank account.
   • You can connect both if you'd like, but only one is needed to verify and connect your account.
6. If connecting a card, the applicant should enter the card number, expiration date, 3-digit CVC code, and click on the “Link Card” button to proceed with the verification and connection.

   • Upon clicking the link card button , PayPal will make two small charges to the applicants card.

7. The applicant should then proceed to check their Credit/debit card statement for the PayPal’s transactions.
8. The applicant should then return to PayPal and enter those charges along with the adjacent code as they appear on their credit card statement for verification and click on the “Submit” button to complete the connection process.
   • PayPal will reimburse the applicant for the charges.
9. The whole process takes a period of two days.
10. If connecting a bank account, the applicant should enter the routing number and account number, and click on the “Link Your Bank” button to proceed with the verification and connection process.

    • Upon clicking the link Bank button, PayPal will make two small charges to the applicant’s bank account.

11. The applicant should then proceed to check their bank statement for the PayPal’s transactions.
12. The applicant should then return to PayPal and enter those charges along with the adjacent code as they appear on their bank statement for verification and click on the “Submit” button to complete the connection process.
