Procedure

1.Identify the nearest Chad visa issuing agency / Chadian diplomatic missions (lists may be viewed at http://embassy.goabroad.com/embassies- of/chad or at http://www.embassypages.com/chad), go to the identified agency and find out the transit visa requirements;

2.Assess your eligibility and if eligible obtain application form from the identified issuing agency in one (1) above;

3.Fill the application form accurately and remember to insert signature and date upon completion.

4.Prepare all required documents and attach them onto the completed application forms;

5.Make payments and also attach a copy of payment receipt onto the application.

6.Thereafter submit application to the issuing agency and wait for a response.

A person who intends to pass through Chad and continue his / her journey to a third country within 48 hours.

2.Applicants must be continuing to a third destination;

3.Process onward tickets and visa before applying for a transit visa;

4.Applicants must not leave the immigration area upon arrival in Chad;

5.Must not overstay beyond visa validity;

6.It is advisable to obtain visa before traveling or before reaching Chad;

7.Beware of the laws, rules and regulation of the immigration department and of Chad as a whole;

8.While in the country, should not involve in any kind of business activities while in Burkina Faso;

9.Enter through designated entry points;

10.Beware of prohibited / restricted objects, materials and substances in Chad;

11.Have enough funds to sustain you while in the country;

12.Obtain documents that prove your parental responsibility if travelling with children;

Need for the Document

Chad transit visas are stamps / endorsements placed in a foreigners passport by officials of Chad to let the foreigner pass through Chad to a third destination. All visitor wishing to transit through Chad (expect those who come from visa exempted countries) must obtain a transit visa in order to do so. The visa can be obtained from any of the Chadian diplomatic missions / authorized issuing agencies (embassies, high commissions or consulate offices)

2.Travelers should note that they cannot cancel trip in the transit country.
