Instructions

The age of 14 is necessary a process of late registration.

The following may apply:

• Parents; or
• Anyone in possession of a special power of attorney;
• The head of the institution where the birth occurred;
• The doctor or midwife assistant (or failing that anyone has seen the birth).

• Name of the child
• Date of birth
• Names of the parents
• City and province of birth
• The date, name and signature of the certifying Registrar, Acting Registrar or Secretary, and the office seal.

Need for the Document

It is a right of the child and every citizen. Consists of recording made at the Civil Registry from the mandatory declaration of birth occurred in Cape Verde territory. The purpose is to register a child who spends legally to have a full name and able to prove their identity.
