Procedure

Apply by Mail:

1. To Get Permit or License for Rehabilitation, the applicant has to approach the Service Canada office link

   Note: Enter the address and the range of Km and click the “Find” button to check the nearest office.

2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. or it can be downloaded from the following link
3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned office mailing address.
7. The mailing address is mentioned in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page.
8. The fee for this procedure is mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
9. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
10. Then the application will be processed further.
11. Once the verification process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
12. For further process, the applicant has to follow the instruction given by the officer.
13. This entire process can be completed within 3 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Eligibility

The applicant is eligible to apply for rehabilitation if you have:

• Committed an act outside of Canada and five (5) years have elapsed since the act.
• Been convicted outside of Canada and five (5) years have passed since the end of the sentence imposed.

Fees

• Inadmissible on the grounds of criminality - $200
• Inadmissible on the grounds of serious criminality - $1,000
