1.Visit any nearby immigration / authorized office (Cameroon embassy, consulate office or high commission) and check the current visa regulations and requirements.
2.From the immigration office, obtain an application form, which form can be downed from respective embassy websites like http://www.cameroon-embassy.nl/?page_id=115 and http://cameroon.travisa.com/VisaInstructions.aspx?CitizenshipID=US&CountryID=CM&TravelerTypeID=TO&ResidenceID=US&PartnerID=TA
3. Fill the form carefully and accurately, that ensure that the form is dated and signed;
4. Make all necessary payments
5. Prepare all required documents and attach them to the application form; and
6. Submit application to the Cameroon embassy, consulate office or high commission.

USA residents can also apply on line by visiting http://cameroon.visahq.com/ and click on the prompt apply online. The prompt will lead to an application form at https://www.visahq.com/profiles.php where all fields must be filled accurately. After filling ensure that information is saved and then continue to the next stage. The system then takes the applicant through the application process

4. Insurance certificate
5. Two (2) recent passport-size photos
6. Invitation letter from family / friend in Cameroon
7. International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever.
8. Flight itinerary
9. Proof of sufficient funds (Recent bank statement)
10. Marriage certificate (if you are travelling with spouse)
11. Proof of relationship with dependants (if any)

3. It is advisable to obtain a visa before travelling;
4. Always use designated entry points to enter Cameroon.
5. Beware the immigration department reject entry even when a person holds a visa;
6. Harmful / dangerous materials are prohibited when entering Cameroon;
7. Must be ready to comply with the laws of the country;

A tourist visa in Cameroon is issued to foreigners wishing to travel to the country for short time leisure. Cameroon embassies, consulate offices and high commissions are the only authorized agencies to issue Cameroon visas in different countries.
Information which might helpEdit
- In case where visa application is rejected, an applicant is notified within 24 hours by the competent authority, who also informs the Directorate of Border Police.
- For countries where Cameroon has no diplomatic representative, visas are available at entry points;
- If an applicant is traveling with a minor, he / she must submit the following documents:-
- Notarized letter of support
- The letter must be jointly signed by both parents or legal guardians, in the letter the parents / legal guardian must agree to the trip and also indicate who will be traveling with the child.
- Copies of passport of parents / guardian
- Note that Cameroon Embassies and Consular Offices are the only authorized Cameroon
- Government agencies permitted to issue Cameroon visas in a different country.
