ProcedureEdit

This procedure explains various ways to Obtain a copy of Divorce Certificate in CALABARZON.

Divorce is not recognized under Philippine laws. It has only meaning that dissolve a marriage before the death of either spouse. Instead of obtaining a copy of Divorce Certificate, you can just obtain a copy of Dissolution of Marriage Certificate. This certificate can be obtained if you finalized a Divorce with above meaning or an annulment once granted treats the marriage as if it never existed because the court found that it was invalid in the first place. The Divorce and the Annulment do have the same end result: the dissolution of the marriage. Both parties are single and may enter into a domestic partnership with another person. If you are a CALABARZON citizen, finalized the Divorce or the Annulment in the court and performed annotation with the suitable Civil Registrar’s Office, you or your representatives can apply for a copy of Dissolution of Marriage Certificate at a suitable Census Serbilis Center by following procedure:

  1. Prepare the requirements:
    • The complete name of the husband and the complete maiden name of the wife;
    • The date and place of marriage;
    • Name of the court and the judge that issued the decree dissolving the marriage or declaring marriage void;
    • The address of the court;
    • The date when the decision was issued;
    • The date when the decision became final and executory;
    • The date when the decision was recorded in the civil register;
    • The complete name and address of the requesting party; and
