Procedure

User registration and issuance of library card is carried out at the registration counter. To obtain a library card is required presentation of an identity card and a fee, as approved by the Director of Price list of services in the library. Along with the registration, users are introduced through information materials with the types of services that can get in the library, with the location and order of their receipt, and with their duties and responsibilities.

Eligibility

Every citizen has the right to use the services in a library, and for that he must be registered as a reader and apply for a library card. Library card is personal and not transferable. Honorary library cards that are open-ended and free are issued with the permission of the Director of the library.

Fees

• permanent library card free
• temporary library card (grants the use of library materials in the library and its subsidiaries).
• For one working day - 2.00 lv
• For five working days - 5.00 lv
• For users using only publications from the United Nations funds are issued free library cards.
• Seniors and students up to 14 years old can get a discount;

Validity

Permanent library cards are issued for a period of one calendar year. Users who have declared lost or stolen library card will be issued a new one.

Instructions

The library cards are:

• permanent - they are issued for a period of one calendar year and shall be revalidated every year - until January 20 of each calendar year
• monthly
• daily

Required Information

Individuals with registered permanent address at another location are eligible to enroll for readers and apply for library card after monetary deposit. The deposit is returned after they declare that they are written off and cease to use the library.
