- To Apply for International Veterinary Certificate (CVI) (Travelling Canada with PET), the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock link or the veterinary hospital.
- The applicant must find a licensed veterinarian in Brazil who is authorized to issue CVIs.
- The veterinarian will perform a clinical examination of the pet and verify that it is healthy and up-to-date with all required vaccinations and treatments.
- Once the pet has been examined and is determined to be healthy, the applicant can request a CVI from the veterinarian. The CVI must be issued within 10 days of the applicant’s scheduled departure date.
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer or the applicant has to write a complaint letter A4 sheet.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- Then the application will be processed further.
- Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
- The applicant will get the certificate through mail.
- This entire process can be completed within 3- 5 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
