Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for a Landline or Telephone Connection, the applicant should visit a designated BTC branch office within your residence; as not all BTC offer these services. Please view BTC contact details via this link Link
  2. Applicants are required to complete the complete forms; Application form for new, Landline or Telephone Connection, forms are available for free at the front desk at the BTC head office or designated branch offices.
  3. Attach all the required documents (see “Required document” Section below of this page) to the completed form and submit the documents to the BTC agent.
  4. The agent will then verify, if all the necessary information and documents have been provided, Customers will be required to pay the installation fee at the BTC cash counter.
  5. Upon payment, you will be issued a payment receipt as well as the original copy of the contract.
  6. The technical service team will then visit the residence for external works, installation of the Landline network within 5 working days.


Apply Online

  1. Applicant should visit the BTC website via this link Link and choose the plan option you wish to apply for, from the drop box.
  2. Then click on Apply Now tab, fill out the application form accurately, upload the supporting documents as listed on the site, read through the terms and conditions section, if satisfied with the terms and conditions, click on the “I Agree” tab and the Declaration tab.
  3. Then click on the Submit tab.
  4. You will then receive an instant notification confirming that your request has been taken into consideration via your email id.
  5. Once the department verifies the information, an executive will call on your mobile to verify and given further instructions.
  6. Customers will be required to pay the installation fee and deposit at a designated BTC branch office.
  7. Upon payment, you will be issued a payment receipt as well as the original copy of the contract.
  8. The technical service team will then visit the residence for external works, installation of the Landline network within 5 working days.

  • Copy of your most recent payslip and three months’ bank statements

  • Individuals (citizens/non-citizens)
  • Business and companies in Botswana
  • should have valid address in Botswana
  • Should have identity proof documents
  • Should be of 18 years and above.

Installation ChargeFor Pre-Paid services; Customers pay a once-off installation fee of

  • P230.00


For post-paid services; Customers pay an installation fee of;

  • Residential Telephone Service: P230.00
  • Business and Government Telephone Service: P337.50


For Toll-Free services; Customers pay an installation fee of;

  • P600.00


For Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN); Customers pay an installation fee of;

  • Basic Rate Interface: P700.00
  • Primary Rate Interface: P17,200


For scratch and dial card; customers pay a once-off installation fee of;

  • P230.00


For Fixed Wireless Terminals (FWT) Service Activation Fee (Residential and Business)

  • P100.00



ValidityEdit

  • The validity of the connection is forever unless one fail’s to pay the telephone bill, which may lead to disconnection of the communication service.
