After a public notification that results for Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE), Junior Certificate Examination (JCE), and Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Examination (BGCSE) is released by the Ministry of Basic Education via different communication media, persons concerned can access their results through the following manner;

Short Message Service (SMS)
Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Examination (BGCSE)

• For BGCSE: Compose a text message (SMS) comprising; Centre number, candidate number, candidate surname (include space between the parameters) and send SMS to 16688.
• Within a few minutes, the results of the candidate will be displayed on the phone screen as an SMS.
  

Junior Certificate Examination (JCE)

• For JCE: Compose a text message (SMS) comprising; Examination level, Centre number, candidate number, candidate surname (include space between the parameters) and send SMS to 16688.
• Within a few minutes, the results of the candidate will be displayed on the phone screen as an SMS.
  

Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE)

• For PSLE: Compose a text message (SMS) comprising of; Examination level, Centre number, candidate number, candidate surname (include space between the parameters) and send SMS to 16688.
• Within a few minutes, the results of the candidate will be displayed on the phone screen as an SMS.
  

Botswana Examinations Council website

• Visit the Botswana Examinations Council website Link and click on the RESULT tab, located on the home page, menu bar.
• My result page will be displayed, and fill out all the mandatory fields marked with a red asterisk, accurately, and then click on the SHOW RESULTS tab.
• Within a few minutes, the results of the candidate will be displayed on the screen.
  

Apply In-Person

1. Visit the education centre where you sat for your Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE), Junior Certificate Examination (JCE), and Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Examination (BGCSE) after the result was released announcement by the ministry.
2. The education centre will have the results of the candidates displayed on the notice board.

Eligibility

Candidates who have sat of their Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE), Junior Certificate Examination (JCE), and Botswana General Certificate of Secondary Examination (BGCSE)

Fees

No fee associate with the service if the results are obtained in person or via the Botswana Examinations Council (BEC), however charges (tariff) will be imposed by the telecommunication company if the results are obtained via SMS.
