Procedure

How to apply:

1. You should contact the Ministry of Trade & Industry Building, Department of Industrial Affairs for more information on how to file the application.
2. Accurately fill in the application form (Form for Rebate 405.04) can be obtained from the above office.
3. Submit the completed application form along with the relevant supporting documents, to the office ( listed below) for verification and processing
4. If the Director is satisfied with the information obtained from the application form and documents, the details will be entered into theMITI system and then the certificate is generated and approved and is issued to you.

Required Documents

• A certified copy of registration certificate from Registrar of Societies
• A donation letter/ gift certificate indicating that the applicant has indeed donated such goods
• A copy of the invoice, indicating the customs value of the donated goods
• A bill of lading/ air waybill/ sea way bill to show that the goods have been received

• The Rebate Certificate is a document that recommends exemption from paying customs duty by non-profit organizations, such as welfare, religious, sporting, or educational organizations, and hospitals. Under this facility, a rebate of duty is granted to registered non-profit organizations on goods (excluding motor vehicles) donated for use by persons with physical or mental disability
