Procedure

Apply In Person

1. The application for Waste Water Service Connection by the owner shall be made to the Water Utilities Corporation (WUC) office.WUC branches contact details
2. Applicants are required to collect and complete the following forms i.e. Application form for wastewater/water service connection and Agreement for the Supply of water/wastewater, obtainable at any of the Water Utilities Corporation (WUC) office customer care desk, or download it via the WUC website WUC Forms or directly download them using these link, Application form for water/wastewater service connection for individuals , Agreement for the Supply of water/wastewater terms & conditions for Individuals and Property Owner Authorization Form (submit, where the applicant is a tenant)
3. Applicants are required to submit the supporting documentation as mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page, in addition to the duly completed application forms in all respect to the nearest WUC branch office. Any omission of these documents will render the application process incomplete.
4. Upon receipt of the application file, the WUC receptionist will verify if all the necessary information and documentation has been provided and that the applications comply with the selection criteria before registering the application file for assessment and consideration by the WUC Wastewater department.
5. An acknowledgment letter will be issued to the client that will serve as proof of submission of the application and for inquiry referencing if the need arises.
6. The WUC Wastewater Section carry an inspection to identify connection point. For connection points that are within a 30m radius, approval will be given right away. That connection points more than 30m, customers have to provide the technical drawing of the route to the connection point, the pipeline data and the connection details, and also approval for land use (wayleave).
7. The feasibility report will then be validated by the technical agent, who will then draw a receipt indicating an estimated cost to the main wastewater pipe.
8. The file along with the quotation is then returned to the reception desk, to be issued to the client, who then decides if and when to make the connection fee.
9. The customer is asked to pay the quotation fee plus a refundable security deposit. The charges may vary depending on the location. Customers are encouraged to pay over the counter to avoid delays.
10. The customer takes all responsibility for construction and connection costs. The WUC carries final inspection during and after completion as scheduled.
11. During the installation of a new connection, the customer will be provided with information explaining how to maintain the sewer connection and what to do in case of a sewer blockage.
12. Upon completing the installation, the approval installation form will be issued to you by the technical service team to be completed, sign and then place in your file. The file is then sent to reception for updating and invoicing.
13. The customer will receive his or her first bill with sewer charges within one month from the connection date.

Apply Online

1. The request for waste water/sewege connection can also be submitted online through the WUC Online Platform
2. Person registered the WUC, should log in with their registered email address and password to access the WUC online platform. if not registered click on the “Registe” tab.
3. The registration page will be displayed, Fill out all the mandatory fields accurately, solve the math question then click on the “Register” button.
4. Upon successful submit the request, you will receive a notification message on your screen, notifying you that the registration request has been received for processing by the WUC and that you will be contacted by the WUC after your registration has been validated.
5. If the registration is successful, log in with the (registered email address and password) to access the WUC online platform.
6. The online request form will be displayed Online Application For Water Service Connection/ Individual Or Domestic Connection.
7. Fill out all mandatory fields accurately, upload the supporting documents as listed on the site, if you are satisfied that the information you have provide is true and accurate click on “Declaration” button and the “Term and Condtion” button if you agree, complete the math security question then click on the “Submit” tab.
   • Note : The uploaded documents should be certified by relevant authorities.
8. Required Documents

• Copy of Omang (citizen) or passport (non-citizen).
• Certificate of Rights for land use. This could be a lease agreement, a title deed, or a letter of allocation of land.
• Document of matrimonial status (where applicable) for residential and if the property is in the name of a woman.
• Company/business registration [certificate.in Link] case of a company/business.
