Apply In-Person
- Anyone interested in accessing this service should visit the competent court and submit a complaint; which must be as specific as possible, orally done, giving full details of the defendants including names, addresses, and phone numbers, and should be attached to all the supporting documentation as requested by the court clerk. - Upon receipt of the completed application file, the court clerk will verify that all the necessary information and documentation has been provided and that the applications comply with the selection criteria before registering the file for processing by the competent court.
- The court clerk shall set a date for the case hearing and issue a summons for an appearance by all parties. Appearance could be at the court or other appointed venue.
- At the appointed date and time, all parties involved should avail themselves at the appearance venue to plead their case.
- After the court proceeding has concluded, the Court or Judge can immediately or at a later stage pronounce his/her decision which can be in the form of a Court Order, Judgment, or Ruling.
- Both Litigants will then be issued with a copy of the Court Order, Judgment, or Ruling by the court clerk.
- A party who is not satisfied with the final decision of a court of the first instance may appeal against such decision to a higher court. On the other hand, a party not satisfied with the decision-making process used to arrive at a conclusion, may in appropriate circumstances seek to have such decision reviewed.
