ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person

  1. You should contact the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture (MYSC) District Office closest to you for more information on how to file the application with them.
  2. Accurately fill in the application form which can be obtained from the above offices.
  3. Submit the completed form along with the required supporting documentation (as listed below) for verification and processing to the MYSC District Office.
  4. If the authorized official is satisfied that you have complied with the all conditions as set for the application, you will be notified by mail by the District Office.
  5. The Selected applicants will then be placed as volunteers in different government departments, NGOs, public and parastatal sector institutions in 30 days.

Required DocumentsEdit

  • A certified copy of National Identity Card (Omang).
  • A certified copy of academic qualifications.
  • Curriculum vitae.
  • References.
  • Any other document that the department may request.

Please note that all requested "Certified Copies" can be obtained by taking a photo-copy of the document and the original to your nearest police station.

This programme is open to all Citizen-Youth of Botswana who are between the ages of 20-30 years old and who are currently unemployed and out of school. Additionally, these youth must also not have any formal tertiary education to be considered.

Processing TimeEdit

Applicants will receive documentation supporting the receipt of their application on the day of submission. Placement into an available job could take 30 days.
