Procedure

How to apply:
In Person:

1. One should conduct and visit the Department of Geological Surveys for consultation and file the application with the department
2. Application form, can be obtain from the above offices, accurately fill in the form and attach all the requirements and submit them for processing and verification
3. If all the information are in order, A Survey of your borehole will be carried out by an inspector dispatched by the department on a schedule date.
4. Accompany the inspector to the site of the borehole if the service is for cleaning or fishing for inspection, and sign the inspection and recommendation from borehole inspection report by the Department of Water Affairs (DWA) drilling technicians.
5. On sight you will be required to fill in the indemnity form, before the department starts any work on the borehole. This indemnifies the department from any loss or damage that might occur during the rendering of the service.
6. You will then be adviced freely by the inspector but if you require cleaning services, you will have to pay first, before the service is rendered by the department.

Fees

Cleaning: P4 362.00, Mobilization tar: P16.50/km, Mobilization sand: P44.00/km, Mobilization gravel: P30.25/km, Advisory services are free of charge

Validity

Explain the time until which the certificate/document is valid.
