Procedure

1. To apply for the procedure, you must complete an application form. You may use the link provided under 'Documents to Use' section to download the form. Read the form carefully when you fill it out.
2. Submit the completed form together with all other required documents. Note: Contact CAAB to inquire about documents that must accompany your application.
3. Pay the issuance fee.

Fees

Issuance of Certificate of Airworthiness (C of A) (in Pula):

• Aircraft not exceeding 5700kg: 200.00 for every 500kg or part thereof
• Aircraft exceeding 5700kg: 300.00 for every 500 kg or part thereof

Instructions

An aircraft shall not fly in or over Botswana unless it has a current and valid certificate of airworthiness issued or rendered valid by the State in which the aircraft is registered. The CAAB is the Authority for issuance, validation or renewal of certificates of airworthiness and special flight permits for aircraft registered in Botswana.
