Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. In order to apply for caste certificate, applicant has to go to the respective Revenue department .
2. Link for the office contact details: link1 and Municipal office contact link2 Please select your ULB from the drop down menu under Online citizen service centre and submit. User will be directed to respective municipal website. Click the contact menu or other appropriate option to know the address.
   
3. Application form can be obtained from the office while applicant visits. OR Applicant shall write an application on a A4 paper. OR Download the application form using the following link : Form Link
4. Submit the completed application form along with required documents to the respective authority.
5. Authorities after checking the attached documents and details submitted, will make entries and provide you record number for reference.
6. This document and details will then reach the respective authority. He/she will ask the authorities to do investigation and do ground level verification for the details submitted.
7. After due verification authorities will submit their report to respective authority.
8. Based on the report submitted, respective authority will decide to issue the caste certificate.

Note :

• Certificate will be despatched or handed over directly as per the request made while applying by applicant. Mostly handover in office will be in practice to get counter signature from applicant for the delivered certificate.
• In case of any specialised classes, that covers government subsidy and reservation, a notice will be propagated in the applicants residing area to see if there is any objection for the applicant arises.

2. Please go the respective office.
3. Application can be obtained from the authorities. Please pay for application form as authorities quote.
4. Submit the complete application along with required documents to the operator in the centre.
5. Operator will check the details and start to process online using the computer.
6. Applicant will get the transaction ID for the application made. Please keep it safe for future reference.
7. This application will be processed by the respective department as per how it will be processed in person.
8. Applicant will get notification about the status on his registered mobile number that was provided while applying.
9. Applicant has to go and meet the respective authorities upon notification with documents as instructed to get the certificate as per notified date.

Apply Online - Bihar Obtain Caste Certificate Online with Images

1. Use the following link to reach online portal. Link: Online portal
2. In the home page, please select “login” menu option to reach login popup.
   1. If you are a new user, then use “Don't have an account? Register HERE” option provided on the pop up box to register and then login.
3. Complete the login requirements to apply.
4. In this page, please select “Services of Residential Caste and Income Certificate of General Administration Department” option provided on the left part of the screen under “RTPS Services” to view all available services.
5. Please select Caste certificate for sub option.
6. Please select the appropriate option applicable for you to get next page
7. Here, mouse over “Apply for services” tab and select “online” sub option to next page.
8. complete the page prompts to fill the online form and hit Submit at the bottom of the page to apply.
9. User has to click agree for the popup for Aadhar permission.
10. Another popup for the email, mobile number confirmation will be provided. Please vlick “OK”
11. Next popup prompts for OTP for Aadhar connected mobile. Please enter OTP and hit “validate” and hit “OK” for the following prompt.
12. User gets summary of details provided. Please check and if details are ok, then click “Submit” to submit the application online.
13. Applicant gets receipt/acknowledgement for submission. Keep it safe for future reference.
14. This application will be processed and the status of application will be notified.
15. Applicant can use the status option in the online portal below the apply option and can download if it is ready or should meet the authorities as notified.

Eligibility

• Applicant must belong to reserved category (Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other backward Community) to apply for that category.
• Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
• Applicant must be residing in the state.
• Applicant should have completed age of 3 years to apply for community certificate.

Note : Please check all eligibility criteria, check-list of documents required to apply for community certificate.

Fees

• Please pay as authorities quote while applying.
• For online, please pay as per prompt while processing.

Validity

• Usually Certificate is valid for entire life

Need for the Document

• Community Certificate is also known as caste certificate. Community certificate is a legal proof of community that the person to whom it is being issued belongs to reserved community like scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and other backward classes.backward classes

• This is valid for securing admission in all Educational Institutions and other professional institutions and also for employment.

• This certificate can be used for several years.
• An individual cannot change his / her caste once he/she issued the caste certificate. However, while converting into another religion, the class may change necessitating a new caste/community certificate.
