Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for a Domestic help Verification In-Person, get the Domestic Help Verification form from the nearest police station in Bihar Know your Police Station
2. Applicants of Patna can also download and print the form from the online link: Application Form
3. In the procured form, fill the required details of the servant or employee.
4. Mention the employee’s local guardian’s information.
5. Fill in your details under the space provided for details of the employer.
6. Affix the passport size photograph of the employee in the space given.
7. Attach Photocopy of Photo ID proof of the employee.
8. Duly sign the form and submit the form at the nearest Police Station.
9. Pay the processing fee if required.
10. Receive the acknowledgment receipt and keep it safe for further reference.
11. Visit the Police Station to get the report once it is ready.

Note: Carry the original Id proofs to the police station for any necessary cross verifications to be made.

Apply through Centres:

1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
2. Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
4. The operator will process the application online.
5. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement.
6. This application will be processed internally. Once the verification is over, the issue of the license to the applicant will be final.
7. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any, will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
8. If approved, the verification license will be hand delivered or sent through post to the address mentioned while applying or issued in a stipulated period of time.

Need for the Document

• While employing a person for domestic help, it is highly advisable to apply for a Police verification report of the said person to ensure your safety.
• When one applies for this Verification, the police runs a complete background check on the person to be employed and their details are stored with the police.
• This protects the employee from involving in any criminal activities in the near future.
• The police verification report also gives information about any troublesome activities of the servant in their previous workplace.
