Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Applicant has to get the letter head for the firm and should get required document as mentioned in our page.
2. Applicant should go to the district agriculture office (DAO) to apply.
3. Link for contact details : link use the contact information to locate the respective office address as per the different links provided.
4. Please collect the appropriate application form as per officer’s advice or get it downloaded from the following linK form.
5. Submit the completed application with required documents as mentioned in our required documents session.
6. After accepting the application, officials will advise the amount to be remitted as per the mode (treasury challan or as acceptable).
7. Applicant after remitting the mentioned amount, should provide the same to the department authority for processing.
8. Applicant will get intimation for inspection of premises.
9. Authorities will inspect the business place and do their due diligence for the machine / other apparatus as mentioned in application by applicant.
10. Once all the process yields satisfactory result, Applicant gets intimation to collect the License.
11. On the said date, applicant can collect the license.
    
    

Note:

• Licensing officer will provide information on educational requirements.
• If the applicant is not having eligible education then he can hire a person with respective discipline and should get the written document as advised by officials for his or her concern.
• In case of pesticide commercial license - applicant should be at least a graduate in Agriculture or in Science with Chemistry as a subject with a certificate of minimum 15 days training from any of the following Institutions-Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore, Indian Grain Storage Institute, Hapur and National Plant Protection Training Institute, Hyderabad.

Apply Online:

1. Please follow the link to apply online:link
2. Click on “Register” option under “Registration” tab on left side of the screen.
3. Applicant will get user id and password.
4. Applicant can login through the “Log in“ option mentioned on the left side of the home screen.
5. Click on “Apply online” mentioned on the home screen and choose “Seed/insecticide license application” option.
6. In the new window, click on “Online services” and choose “Online New/renewal services insecticide” option.
7. Fill the form with correct details.
8. Upload the required documents as mentioned in “Required documents” section on this page.
9. Pay fees as mentioned in “Fees” section on this page.
10. Applicant can take the print out of the form.
11. After verification by the authorities, license will be issued to the applicant.

Apply through Centres:

1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
2. Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. An application form can be obtained through the kiosk operator upon visiting the centre.
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
5. Submit the application form with ”Required Documents” to the office.
6. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
7. The operator will process the application online.
8. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement.
9. This application will be processed internally. Once the verification is over, these officials will submit their report to the respective superior authority to decide the issue of the Certificate to the applicant.
10. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any, will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
11. If approved, the certificate will be hand delivered or sent through post to the address mentioned while applying or issued in a stipulated period of time.

Eligibility

• Any person desiring to manufacture or to sell, stock or exhibit for sale or distribute any insecticide, or to undertake commercial pest control operations with the use of any insecticide is eligible to make an application to the licensing officer for the grant of a license.
• Education criteria is mandatory. Please check with licensing officer for division level agriculture department

Fees

As the fees structure varies with the type of business and type of insecticide classified, licensing officer whom applicant applies with will provide fee details.

Validity

A license granted under insecticides (Amendment) Act, shall be valid for the period specified therein, May be renewed from time to time for such period and on payment of such fee as may be prescribed.

Instructions

Applicants may approach the Deputy Commissioner, who is in charge of issuing Insecticide License.

Required Information

• Full Name and Address of the applicant
• Full particulars of the names of insecticides handled in the period and the places at which the trade was carried on, and the principles whom he represented.
• Quantities handled during the past two calendar years
• Situation of the nearest premises where the insecticides will be (a) stored and (b) sold

Need for the Document

• The Insecticide Rules of 1971 specify rules about manufacturing, testing and selling of insecticides in India.
• Applications for the grant or renewal of a licence to sell, stock or exhibit for sale or distribute insecticides shall be made in Form VI or Form VII, as the case may be, to the licensing officer and shall be accompanied by the fees specified in the rules.
