Bermuda - Obtain an Occasional Liquor Licence

Procedure

Apply In-Person :

1. Prepare all the required documents in advance prior to your application, this include obtaining details of the security firm that will provide security service at your event.
2. Then draft an application letter, with a letter heard of your organization addressed to the Chairman of the Liquor Licensing Authority giving details of your application for occasional liquor license.
3. Then download the application form online through the government of Bermuda website or directly via the link provided in “Documents to use “section below
4. Fill the application form with the correct details as requires and double check with the instructions provided, if you have all the required document.
5. Make a copy of your application and submit the original application to the Chairman of the Liquor Licensing Authority, Magistrates’ Court, Dame Lois-Browne-Evans Building, 58 Court Street, Hamilton HM 12, and the copy to the Commissioner of Police
6. The liquor license authority will assess your application and if your application meets all the necessary requirements, it will be approved and the license will be processed.
7. Then you will be notified when the license is ready for collection.
8. Visit the licensing authority office to pay for the license at 2nd floor Cashier’s window and take receipts to the 3rd floor Reception window to collect your licence.
   

NOTE:

• Collection of license times are between 11:00 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. daily.
• You should apply for the license at least 3 weeks in advance of the requested event.

Instructions

• Applications must be accompanied by the completed Information Sheet (attached). Failure to complete all sections may result in delay in the processing of your application.
• Apply at least 3 weeks in advance of the requested event.
• Times for events shall be between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on the following morning.
