ProcedureEdit

  1. Applications for personalized licensed plates are processed by the Transport Control Department.
  2. Complete an application for licensed plates.
  3. Submit the completed form along with the applicant's current vehicle licence or a photocopy of that document.
  4. The department will try its best to accommodate the applicants request. The Minister of Tourism and Transport, however, reserves the right to deny any application.
  5. After approval of your request, pay the initial fee of $44.00. The annual fee is $84.00.

EligibilityEdit

Personalised plates are for private cars only.

Personalised plates may contain a maximum of six characters. A space counts as a character. Dashes or any other type of symbols are not permitted.

All requests must follow these restrictions:

  1. Letters only (a minimum of two).
  2. A combination of letters and number(s), amounting to NO more than six characters

No Personalised Plate will begin with LP, IN, HA, HB, HC, CS, FHL, SP, XT, LXT, CLC, CM, LD, SPCM, M, TT, LT, IT, HT, BT, FT, AT, T, GP, PWAB, BPBA, TR, and be directly followed by numbers.

  • Personalised Plates Initial Fee : $44.00
  • Personalised Plate Annual Fee : $84.00


Note: TCD accepts cash, Master Card, and Visa. There are no ATMs at any of the TCD Locations.

There is an annual fee that must be paid for vehicles with personalised licence plates.

Applications for personalized licensed plates are processed by the Transport Control Department.

Guidelines before submitting your request for personalized plates:

  1. Personalised plates must not have any indecent sexual or obscene interpretation.
  2. Personalised plates must not be morally, ethically, racially, or in be any other manner offensive to good taste.
  3. Personalised plates shall not have the identical or similar characters as any other personalised plate previously issued by the T.C.D.


The Minister of Tourism and Transport reserves the right to recall personalised plates if they are determined to be unacceptable.
