Procedure

1. Fill out the Application For A Truck form. A form can be collected from the Information Desk at the Transport Control Department
2. Wait to be notified of approval: It may take about 5 days for the Transport Control Department to issue a notification regarding the application.
3. If approved, proceed to take the written test.
4. Book an appointment to take the practical test with the Examinations clerk
5. Once you have passed the practical test, proceed to the registration clerks to make it official.

• Cycle Inspections are only carried out at the North Street Testing location
• As of April 6th 2009, motor vehicle safety and emissions inspections will be undertaken by the Bermuda Emissions Control Ltd. (BECL)

Note: TCD accepts cash, Master Card, and Visa. There are no ATMs at any of the TCD Locations.

Processing Time

It may take about 5 days for the Transport Control Department to issue a notification regarding the application. If your application is approved you will need to come in to take the written test and after that the practical test.
