Procedure

1. To obtain a permit to move an unlicensed vehicle applicants will need to go to the Transport Control Department (TCD) office.
2. After arriving in TCD, pick a number, and talk to a Registration clerk.
3. Inform the clerk that you are applying for a permit.
4. You will be required to pay a small fee, once you have paid the fee, ask for the receipt.
5. Bring the receipt to the TCD Trafficking office, present your valid insurance, and inform them of your situation.
6. The Traffic Officer will record your information and issue your permit to move your unlicensed vehicle.

• Cycle Inspections are only carried out at the North Street Testing location
• As of April 6th 2009, motor vehicle safety and emissions inspections will be undertaken by the Bermuda Emissions Control Ltd. (BECL)

• One Day Truck Casual Permit : $108.00

Note: TCD accepts cash, Master Card, and Visa. There are no ATMs at any of the TCD Locations.
