Apply In-Person:
- Obtain the Driver's License Application form from the Information Desk at the Transport Control Department or online through the Government of Bermuda website: websiteor Download it directly form via this link:Form
- Read the Guidelines and fill the application form correctly to avoid misunderstandings. You will need a doctor to complete part of the form to certify you are fit to operate a motor vehicle. Note that the completed medical examination form is only valid for 3 months.
- Attach these required documents (your birth certificate, a valid passport, or a work permit) to application from and submit it to the Transport Control Department main office.
- The official will verify your application and if correct you will qualify for a Written Exams (Theory electronic exams).
- Pay the application fees for the written exams according to your category of interest and do the exams (Theory electronic exams).
- Note:The electronic exam will test your general knowledge of the rules of the road, speed limits, and signage. You can purchase the handbook at the main office of the Transport Control Department.
- If you pass the theory exams, pay the learner’s permit fee
- Your permit will be processed and issued to you

- Applicants will need first to apply for a learner's permit before obtaining a driver's license. The permit will allow you to practice driving under supervision of an instructor or an adult who holds a valid driver's license.
- Applications are processed by the Transport Control Department.
