Procedure

How to apply

1. You should visit the Direction Générale des Transports Terrestres (DGTT) department of transport title office near you with all the supporting documents (listed below).
2. Express your interest at the service desk and then Submit the required documents to the authorized official for verification and processing.
3. If all the documents are in order, you will then be required to go and pay the service fee at Societe des Plaques et accessoires Benin (SPA) office near you, upon which you will be issued with a receipt.
4. Return to the DGTT office and submit the payment receipt.
5. You will then be issued with a receipt/acknowledgement slip by the DGTT officer, which you should bring with you in two working days when collecting the logbook.

• Logbook to be replaced or photocopies of the first two pages.
• Police report if stolen.
• Identification card.
• SPA-BENIN receipt of 4,200 F CFA.

The supply to the Ministry of Transport, number plates, log books, registration cards and all other documents relating to the registration of vehicles in the Republic of Benin; assistance to the Ministry of Transport for fixing the plates.
