Procedure

How to apply:

1. Visit the Societe Nationale de eaux du Benin (SONEB) agency office near your residence, Approach the service desk and express your interest, upon which you will be given an application form.
2. Accurately fill in the form and if you encounter any difficult please request for assistance from the supporting staff.
3. Attach copies of the required documents (listed below) to the completed form and submit them for verification and processing.
4. An SONED inspector will then be dispatched to the site for an assessment to determine the quotation fee of the layout connection materials required within a week.
5. You are then required to pay the quotation fees within 3 months at the SONEB agency office to facilitate the connect.
6. After presentation of the payment receipt you will receive external works, meter installation and water flow within 15days.

Connection is valid forever unless you fail to pay your monthly water bills, which leads to disconnection of the service by the SONEB
