Procedure

How to Apply:

1. Eligible applicants should Visit the Directorate of Emigration and Immigration office in Cotonou and obtain the application form or click the link below to download : (application form)
2. Submit the completed form and the supporting document (listed below) to the attending official for verification and processing.
3. Pay the application fees
4. You will then be issued with a receipt/acknowledgement slip and you will be notified on when you should re-visit the office to collect the resident visa.

Eligibility

Any foreigner who meet the following criteria;

• Holder of a valid passport or any other document in lieu thereof
• Justify the purpose of its presence in Benin

Fees

• All ordinary passports or special travel documents requiring an entry visa to the Republic of Benin application fee CFA 52,477 or its equivalate of 80 euro
• Bi-national nationals who do not hold a valid national identity card or Beninese passport application fee CFA 13,119 or its equivalate of 20 euro.

Validity

• Validity period is 3 months
