Belgium - Apply for a Tourist Visa
ProcedureEdit
- You should apply for your tourist visa in person at the relevant Belgian embassy or consulate in your country of residence.
- If there is no Belgian embassy or consulate in your country of residence, you should apply to the Belgian embassy responsible for that country (usually located in a neighbouring country).
- This embassy will also tell you if you can submit your visa application in your country of residence via the embassy of another Schengen country.
- If you are travelling, you can apply for a short-stay tourist visa (up to 90 days) visa at the Belgian embassy or consulate of the country you are in at the time.
- In this case, your application must be submitted to the Immigration Service at FPS Home Affairs for its decision, which may take some time. *This option does not exist for long-stay (over 90 days) visa applications.
Required DocumentsEdit
- A passport that is valid for at least 6 months, and a blank page to stamp the visa;
- Two 2" x 2", recent high definition personal passport photos on white background;
- Completed Belgium visa application form;
- Proof of travel to Belgium such as an itinerary;
- Payment for visa fee (cash, money order or Certified Check);
- A self-addressed prepaid return envelope with postage.

EligibilityEdit
This sub-class of visa is Eligible and issued to:
- A foreigner who wants to visit Belgium for any purpose other than work.
- A person from any country who wants to enter Belgium to seek a visa appropriate to the purpose of their stay.
- The purpose is other than to visit for a holiday, sightseeing, or recreation.
An Entry Visa only allows a person to enter for 30 days and If one wishes to extend their stay in Belgium, they can apply for such an extension from the Ministry of foreign Affairs,foreign trade and development cooperation.

Tourist Visa for Pleasure you pay a fee 120 Euro (160 USD)
ValidityEdit
- Usually valid for 6 months from date of issue for stays of maximum 30 or 90 days per entry.
- Visas cannot be extended and a new application must be made each time you need to be in Belgium.

- 48 hours to 8 weeks, depending on nationality and resident status, and whether applying by post or in person.
- Certain nationals must apply in person (contact Consulate or Consular section at Embassy for further details).

InstructionsEdit
- This visa is solely for the purpose of tourism.
- You must send the actual passport.
- The passport must have at least six (6) months validity remaining before expiration and has at least one complete blank visa page for the visa stamp.
- You should apply in Person.
Required InformationEdit
- A valid passport which at least has 6 month validity
- One Clear Coloured photo
- Application letter to the passport ,Immigration Services in Brussels in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,Foreign trade and development cooperation.
- Completed application form
- Receipt of payment of LE 50 for Category a regular Visa.
- Application letter to the Passport, immigration and national Authority
- Police clearance in English or Arabic
- Signed CV of applicant
Need for the DocumentEdit
You should apply for your Tourist visa in person at the relevant Belgian embassy or consulate in your country of origin. When travelling into Belgium you may be asked to present one or more of the following documents:
- a hotel reservation
- return ticket or some form of proof that you have sufficient funds to cover your visit (e.g. cash, cheques or credit cards that are accepted in Belgium or an original financial support certificate initialed by the respective embassy or consulate).
