Procedure

For minor military candidates, go to the Militia Service of the City Brussels accompanied by either of his parent with whom he resides or by a third person who has parental authority over the candidate, along with all the required documents.

If the certificate is needed for application of pension, a written demand can be sent to:

Required Documents

Minor military candidates:

• ID card
• Provided with the request form
• Accompanied necessarily by one of the parent with whom he resides (provided also with ID card) or of a third person exercising the parental authority (provided also with ID card and with a document indicating his parental authority).

Instructions

If the applicant is a minor military candidate, the certificate may be obtained from the Militia Service of the City of Brussels.

Need for the Document

Beginning January 1, 2006, certificates of military service are no longer needed in the job application process. Nevertheless, a certificate of military service can still be asked, for example for pension.
