Procedure

Apply In Person:

1. To Apply for Import Registration Certificate, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Commerce Office of Chief Controller of Imports and Exports (CCI&E) link
2. Applicant deposits the Registration fee and the cost of the passbook in Bangladesh Bank or Sonali bank and collection of three (3) copies of Treasury Challan.
3. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
5. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
7. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
8. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
9. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
10. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
11. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
12. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
13. The applicant can collect the passbook and certificate from the office.
14. This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Required Documents

• Completed application form
• Passport size photograph of the entrepreneur/managing partner/managing director: A copy of the original duly attested by a First Class gazette officer
• Valid Trade License: A copy of the original duly attested by a First Class gazette officer
• Valid Membership Certificate from a local Chamber of Commerce and Industry or concerned Trade Associations: A copy of the original Certificate Attested by local Chambers of Commerce and Industry or Trade Associations
• Financial solvency certificate: From the bank
• Citizenship Certificate: A copy of the original duly attested by the Ward Commissioner/Union Parishad Chairman
• Treasury Challan
• TIN Certificate: A copy of the original duly attested by a First Class gazette officer
• Partnership Deed: A copy of the original duly attested by a First Class gazette officer (in case of a partnership)
• Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum, and Articles of Association: A copy of the original duly attested by a First Class gazette officer - in case of Limited Company
