Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Drug Production and Processing License, the applicant has to approach the Bangladesh’s Directorate General of Drug Administration link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. Or the applicant can download the application form from the following link
3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
7. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
9. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
10. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
11. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets the call from the office regarding the registration.
12. This entire process can be completed within a month or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Apply Online

1. To Apply for Drug Production and Processing License, the applicant has to make the application online via the following link
2. The applicant has to enter Mobile Number and Password to login. If the applicant is the new user the applicant has to click “Registration” and create a new one.
3. Next the applicant has to click profile and update their profile by entering their particulars.
4. Next the applicant has to click new license and fill in all the necessary details in the applicant form.
5. The applicant has to upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested.
7. Review the application and click submit.
8. An acknowledgment receipt will be displayed. Please save it for future reference.
9. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
10. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets the mail from the office regarding the registration.
11. This entire process can be completed within a month or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

• The purpose of the Drug Production and Processing License is to grant permission to allow enterprises or individuals to engage in businesses related to drugs and cosmetics. No enterprise or individual can operate a business dealing in drugs, medicines, or cosmetics without obtaining a drug license in Bangladesh.
