Bahamas - Register a Birth of an Infant Over Three Years Old

Apply In-Person
- The applicant has to submit proof of birth to the Registrar General's Department's Birth Section (hospital letter, clinic card, school letter, baptism certificate, or, in some situations, a Voter's Card).
- Visit the following link for Contact Details: Contact Link.
- Following the submission of the form, the birth registration section will conduct a search for the birth.
- A numbered "Pink Card" is provided if the birth is not found. This card indicates that there was no record of the registration.

- The Pink Card is a onetime issuance.
- The Pink Card should be attached to the Affidavit. The Affidavit will only be recognized as an official document when a Pink Card is attached.
- It is recommended that the Affidavit be recorded in the Deed and Document section of the Registrar General's Department.
- This service is only provided in New Providence and Grand Bahama at the Registrar General’s Department.
