- To obtain Commercial Fishing Licence, the applicant has to submit an application Form along with the supporting documents and corresponding Fees, to the Department of Marine Resources.
- The Applicant can download the Form from the below link:Form Link.
- On submission of the completed application with the supporting documents as listed in the Required Documents section of the procedure, the applicant will then be called for, to visit the Department of Marine Resources to pay the required licence fee and to collect the licence.
- The licence is then issued after payment of the fee.
- The Applicants must present the completed forms duly signed in person to Firearms Licensing Office, along with two (2) colour passport size photographs, bill of sale for the firearm and gun safe, driver’s license and identifying documents.
- Applicant will be interviewed and the information on the application form verified with the document produced.
- The Applicant is required to produce their legal status in the Bahamas, a copy of the first four (4) pages of their passport and driver’s license.
- In the case where proof of firearm purchase cannot be obtained, a letter must be written stating where the firearm was purchased and how long the firearm was in your possession.

- Bahamian business. Note all shareholders must be Bahamian citizens and resident within the country.
- Bahamian citizen and resident within the country.
- Only applicable to fishing vessels larger than 20 feet in length.
FeesEdit
The Fees for obtaining a commercial Fishing License is BS $10.00 plus 12% VAT.
ValidityEdit
- The licence is valid for one year beginning on January 1st and expiring on December 31st.
- The licence must be renewed annually.
