Bahamas - Apply for Tug Boat Services

Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To request tug boat services, the captain must contact the Habour Control of the Port Department. Contact Link
2. Once a tug boat is available and the request is approved, the Port will send a tug boat to assist the ship.
3. Once service is complete the Port Department issues an invoice of the cost of the service.
4. The applicant must pay the service fee stated on the invoice.
5. Once payment is made the Port issues a receipt of payment to the ship.

Note: There are no forms associated with this service. And no supporting documentation needed.

Fees

Fees are determined by the location of the ship and services provided.  For information regarding the fee please contact the Port Department, Harbour Control.

Validity

Explain the time until which the certificate/document is valid.
