Apply Online

  1. To apply for “The Gerace Research Centre Scholarship” the applicant has to register Online.
  2. Click on the following link to register Online: Link.
  3. On the top right side of the page click on “Apply” tab.
  4. The page will be redirected to a “Sign Up” Page and click on the tab “Sign Up”.
  5. The applicant has to provide an email address and password to sign up for an account.
  6. After signing up, the applicant will receive a confirmation email.
  7. The Applicant must click on the confirmation link to confirmed their account
  8. Now the applicant can begin accessing the system for online application.
  9. The Applicant must compete the application form and submit with the required documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section, before the last Friday in April.
  10. The applicant must not skip any details; as Incomplete documents will not be considered by the National Scholarship Committee.
  11. The applicant will be notified about the decision of the National Scholarship Committee by telephone, e-mail or post.

  • Copies of relevant examination certificates and test scores (AA, GCE, BGCSE, SAT, etc.)
  • Three letters of reference
  • A copy of the acceptance letter from the institution
  • A copy of an up-to-date transcript (Local /Abroad)
  • A copy of the first four pages of your passport
  • A copy of your valid National Insurance Card
  • A statement of approximately 150 words explaining your career aspirations and reasons for a scholarship
  • Certificate of medical fitness (after award has been granted)

EligibilityEdit

  • The applicant must be a Bahamian citizen with a good moral reputation.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent) is necessary for consideration.
  • Financial Need: A review of the family's earnings, as well as any additional awards, scholarships, or loans
  • Demonstrate leadership characteristics and make a positive impact to the school and community
  • Acceptance into a Gerace-sponsored institution and enrolment in a Gerace-sponsored programme of study.
  • At the time of application, you must not be the recipient of any other award or scholarship.
  • Five BGCSEs (Bahamas General Certificate of Secondary Education) with a grade of C or above.

No processing fees.

ValidityEdit

Poor performance, failure to enrol, inability to carry full course loads, bad behaviour, or any other reason acceptable to the National Scholarship Committee may result in the termination of the Scholarship at any time.

Applicant of the Gerace Research Centre Scholarship must maintain an overall grade point average (G.P.A.) of at least 3.0 out of a possible 4.0 in each semester to retain the scholarship. Each award provided by the Ministry of Education will have a maximum value of up to $10,000.00* per annum and will be given for no more than four years of study.
