Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. The Applicant has to submit an application in form 3to the Department of Marine Resources.
2. Visit the following link for Contact Details: Link.
3. The applicant can download the application form from the following Form Link.
4. Complete the application form with all details.
5. Submit pre-requisite documentation along with the supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section to the Department of Marine Resources along with the corresponding fee.
6. The Department of Marine Resources will perform an inspection and request for the corresponding fees upon approval.

Eligibility

This licence is available to anyone who desires to engage in the processing, wholesale distribution, or export of seafood.

Fees

The fees for Processing Plant Licence is BS$300.00.

Validity

The licence is good for one year, starting on January 1st and ending on December 31st. The licence must be renewed on a yearly basis.

The License has to be renewed every year. The applicant must submit all revised documentation if there were changes to their previously submitted documentation or to the layout of their facility.
For the Family Islands, this service is completed through the Department of Marine Resources in the Family Islands. The applications will be processed and approved at the Department of Marine Resources in New Providence.
