Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for a Phytosanitary Certificate, Applicant shall approach the BAHFSA. Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section.
2. You have to submit an Application form to BAHFSA by email.
3. Application form can be found on the following link:Link
4. Download the application form and fill up your details.
5. Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the Required Document” section of this page.
6. The applicant shall present the duly filled application form and documents tothe BAHFSA
7. Once the application is verified and registered, The BAHFSA assesses the inspection fee.
8. On the payment of prescribed fee, The Inspector inspects the shipment destined for export.
9. Once the inspection yields satisfactory results, the inspector issues a Phytosanitary Certificate.

Fees

• Phyto-sanitary certificate fees: $50 non-refundable; Movement certificate: $10.00
  

Validity

• The Certificate is valid per shipment or consignment. A new shipment requires a new Phytosanitary Certificate

Processing Time

• BAHFSA requests complete application form along with supporting documents within 15 days from initial consultation with client. Once application form with attendant relevant documents are received, process is completed within 30-45 days.
