Procedure

1. Complete the relevant application form.
2. Submit completed application form along with the required supporting documents to the Department of Marine Resources.
3. Pay the required fee.
4. Permit will then be issued to the applicant.

Eligibility

• Proof that the marine mammal can be legally imported into the destination country.
• Proof that the marine mammal is in good health.
• Proof that export of the marine mammal is approved under the Animal Health Act.

BS$100.00

Validity

Explain the time until which the certificate/document is valid.
e.g. Birth Certificate Valid Forever

• Name of Applicant
• Address
• Telephone Number
• Type of Marine Mammal product to be exported
• Name and location of the facility where the product is to be exported
• Purpose of export of the marine mammal product
• Transportation mode and method
• Port of entry from/to which the marine mammal product is to be exported

Need for the Document

A Marine Mammal Export Permit is required to allow the export of any species of marine mammal from The Bahamas.
