Apply In-Person

  1. The Applicant has to fill an application form and submit at the New Providence and Family Islands Offices as these service is offered in New Providence, Grand Bahama, Exuma and Andros.
  2. Visit the following Details Contact Link.
  3. The Applicant is contacted for a second interview and contract signing once all conditions have been met and unit availability has been determined.
  4. The Housing Officer will discuss the rental agreement with the applicant during the second interview.
  5. The first month's rent must be paid by the Applicant before they may move in. The applicant receives the keys once the fee has been paid and the contract has been signed.
  6. The tenant is responsible for maintaining the apartment's interior and paying all utility bills once the keys are handed over.
  7. After that, the monthly rental fee is required and payed at the beginning of each month. If you don't pay, you could be evicted.

EligibilityEdit

Citizens and permanent residents of the Bahamas who are 18 years old or older. There is also a plan in place for senior individuals who are 65 years old or older and self-sufficient.

FeesEdit

There are no charges for using this service. At the time of contract signing, however, the first month's rent is due.
