Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. The Applicant has to visit the Civil Aviation department. Link to Contacts.
2. The Applicant can get the application form from the office.
3. Complete the application form with all the required details.
4. After filling in all the details, submit the Application Form along with the supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section to the Civil Aviation department, along with the corresponding fee.
5. The Process takes between one to two weeks to complete, depending on the duration of the investigation.
6. Once approved, the applicant will be informed through the proper communication channel.
7. The applicant should then visit the office to collect the permit.

The following persons are eligible for an Aerodromes Restricted Area Permit:

• Aviation Security,
  
• Police Officers,
  
• Bahamas Customs and Immigration,
  
• Firefighters
  
• Airline Employee.
  

Fees

The annual fee is B$25.00.

Validity

The Permit is valid for Two Years.
