Apply In-Person

  1. The Applicant should get an approval Business License Unit Offices.
  2. Visit the following Details Contact Link.
  3. The Applicant can download from the following Form Link.
  4. Complete the application form with all details.
  5. After filling in all the details submit the Application Form along with the supporting documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section to the Business License Unit Offices along with the corresponding Fee.
  6. The Registrar General's Office will present you with a Certificate of Incorporation if you register your business with them.
  7. Submit the BIA approval to the Business License Unit Offices along with the Certificate of Incorporation and a completed Business Registration Form A.
  8. The first section of the form requires you to register a business name. After that, you must complete the whole application form and deliver it to any of The Business License Division's offices. The form can be returned to a Treasury Office or a Family Island Administrator if there are no Business License Division Offices.
  9. If any of the identified names are rejected, the applicant will be alerted that their name choice was rejected and urged to choose from the remaining options on the form.
  10. The following must also be submitted along with the application
    • Appropriate Registration Fee
    • Approvals related to your selected business
  11. Once all of the document requirements have been satisfied, the applicant must pay a business licence tax (fee) of 112% of the contract's value.
  12. Within seven working days, the application will be completed, and the BLU office will contact the applicant to advise him or her that the license is ready for collecting.

EligibilityEdit

Business ventures that require an extension of temporary business licence include:

  • A Non Bahamian company.
  • A Bahamian company with non-Bahamian partnership.
  • A Foreign person.



FeesEdit

The fee for a Temporary licence is 1½% of the contract's value.
