Procedure

Apply Online

1. To apply for a Phytosanitary Certificate, Applicant shall approach the Food Safety Agency. Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section.
2. You have to submit an Application form to the Food Safety Agency by Email.
3. Application form can be found on the following link:Link
4. Download the application form “APPLICATION on issuance of phytosanitary certificate for export of plants and plant products” and fill up your details.
5. Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the Required Document” section of this page.
6. The applicant shall email the duly filled application form and documents to the Food Safety Agency. Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section
7. After the application is processed, The Inspector visits the Applicant’s premises and inspects the shipment destined for export.
8. Once the inspection yields satisfactory results, the inspector issues a Phytosanitary Certificate.

• The Certificate is valid per shipment or consignment. A new shipment requires a new Phytosanitary Certificate
