  1. Go to a Canberra Connect Shopfront or the Civic Driver License Service to get your license.
  2. Complete an eye test.
  3. Provide passed ACT Road Rules Knowledge Test certificate.
  4. Supply Proof of Identity and Residency.

EligibilityEdit

To obtain your ACT Learner License you must:

  • be at least 15 years and nine months old; and
  • successfully complete a Road Ready Learner License Course, including a computerized knowledge test on the ACT Road Rules.

  • The Road Ready Course is provided by most ACT schools free of charge as part of their year 10 curriculum. It is also conducted by a Road Ready Centre at various locations. The course is available during the day, in the evenings and at weekends.
