Australia - Renew an Adult Passport

Complete an Australian Passport Renewal Application. To download the form, click on this link: https://www.passports.gov.au/Web/Forms/EntryPoint.aspx.
- If your passport has been lost or stolen, you are unable to renew it and must complete a full adult passport application form and attend an interview.
- If you are unable to complete the form online and are overseas, you can call the nearest Australian diplomatic or consular mission. If you qualify, the passports staff will mail you the pre-completed Australian Passport Renewal Application or it can be collected from the mission where the form is requested. If you do not qualify, you can complete the full overseas application form online, or obtain an application from the overseas mission.
- If you are unable to complete the form online and are in Australia, you can call the Australian Passport Information Service. The operator will check your eligibility and, if you qualify, mail you an Australian passport renewal form pre-completed electronically using information held by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. If you do not qualify, you can complete the full application form online, or obtain an application from an Australia Post outlet.

EligibilityEdit
- If you are an Australian citizen, aged 18 years or over and either, or:
- Have an adult Australian passport that:
- was valid for at least two years when issued, and
- was issued after 1 July 2000, and
- was issued in your current name, date of birth and sex
- Have a child Australian passport that:
- was valid for at least two years when issued, and
- was issued after 1 July 2005, and
- you were 16 years or over at the time of issue, and
- was issued in your current name, date of birth and sex

Note: If you cannot present your passport at the time of renewal you cannot use the renewal process.

- Frequent traveler (If you are a frequent traveler you have the option to apply for a frequent traveler passport which contains more visa pages than the Ordinary passport.)

- Senior's Passport (A senior's passport with five years' validity is available for Australian citizens aged 75 years or over.)
