Need for the DocumentEdit
Smartnumbers are highly memorable phone word numbers owned by the Australian government. The enhanced rights of use (RoU) for these numbers can either be leased or sold. These are considered the best choice of 13, 1800, and 1300 numbers in Australia. These come in two types:
- Phone words that spell out a business name or service (1 800 PIZZAS), OR
- Numbers that come in highly memorable patterns, giving it high recall (1 300 50 10 50)
Information which might helpEdit
- You may lease or trade your number under an agreement with another party. Partial trading of a number is not allowed.
- It is also possible to waive your rights of use through your online account. However, there will be no refunds for the amount of purchase.
- If the phone word you prefer is over the standard length (6 digits for 1300/1800, and 4 digits for 13 numbers), you may use additional numbers. Limit your over dial to 3-4 numbers for 1300/1800 numbers and 1 number for the 13 range.
